Role Overview:

Lead a dedicated team in a high-precision, vertically integrated manufacturing environment. The Manufacturing Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring that our mission-critical components for laboratory, analytical, and clinical equipment are produced with uncompromising quality, efficiency, and speed. The ideal candidate will thrive in a culture that values precision, technical excellence, and ultra-responsive service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise daily operations, ensuring production schedules align with the high-reliability demands of the analytical instrument market.
  • Execute precise manload planning to ensure optimal labor allocation across assembly and production cells.
  • Perform rigorous capacity planning to manage throughput in our vertically integrated assembly and component manufacturing workflows.
  • Drive the application of Statistical Process Control (SPC) to monitor and maintain the high-precision standards required for mass spectrometry components.
  • Ensure all processes meet strict cleanliness and vacuum-compatibility specifications.
  • Rapidly respond to production bottlenecks or equipment downtime to maintain our "ultra-responsive" service promise to our OEM clients.
  • Actively identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve production yield through Lean methodologies.
  • Partner closely with engineering, supply chain, and quality departments to ensure seamless product development-to-production transitions.

 

Critical Competencies for Success:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related technical field is preferred, or an equivalent combination of relevant manufacturing experience.
  • 3–5 years of supervisory experience, ideally within an ISO 9001-certified or similarly high-precision/regulated manufacturing environment like medical devices or analytical instruments.
  • Expertise in SPC and data-driven process monitoring.
  • Demonstrable skill in workforce balancing and capacity planning.
  • A high sense of urgency with a track record of meeting critical delivery dates for global customers.
  • Strong leadership communication skills to coach and motivate operators in a precision-focused environment.
  • High proficiency in ERP systems and MS Excel for production tracking and data reporting.
  • Experience in high-reliability assembly environments (e.g., scientific instrumentation, electronics, or aerospace) preferred.
  • Lean/Six Sigma certification is a plus.
  • Experience leading small-to-medium teams in a fast-paced environment where precision and quality are paramount.

Pay range: $73,986.00 - $93,150.00 annually

Within this range, individual pay is determined based on skills, experience, and qualifications relative to the job requirements. Base pay information is aligned with market location and may be subject to prevailing wage laws, if applicable.
