Main Responsibilities

EHS Leadership
Provide environmental, health, safety, and security leadership for Suzhou plant operations, driving a strong EHS culture across the site. -
Compliance & Governance
Lead and facilitate technical and administrative activities to ensure full compliance with EHS regulations and MESH (Management of Environmental, Safety, and Health) requirements. -
Responsible Resource & Waste Management
Select and implement fiscally and socially responsible methods for managing natural resources and waste. -
Risk Identification & Mitigation
Continuously identify, assess, and eliminate or reduce EHS risks, including security-related risks. -
Environmental Footprint Reduction
Deploy and sustain initiatives to minimize the plant’s environmental footprint. -
Government & Regulatory Engagement
Establish and maintain strong relationships with relevant government authorities, including managing voluntary certifications, maintaining environmental permits, submitting required reports, and ensuring data accuracy. -
Training & Employee Engagement
Deliver timely EHS training and actively promote employee involvement in EHS programs and initiatives. -
Incident Investigation & Corrective Action
Lead investigations into incidents, near misses, releases, and accidents; determine root causes; and develop or direct corrective action plans. -
Emergency Response Preparedness
Develop and maintain emergency response plans to protect the environment, employees, and the community. -
EHS Communication
Serve as the primary communicator of EHS messages, updates, and initiatives to employees and site leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 6 years of EHS experience, including 2+ years in a managerial role within a foreign-owned manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of EHS management systems and frameworks.
- Solid understanding of applicable EHS laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, training, and mentoring skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Good command of written and spoken English.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and evolving work environment.
