Role Overview

We are currently seeking a Content Marketing Manager to join our growing team. This is a content marketing role reporting to the Sr. Marketing Manager. They will work closely with product management team and sales team implementing product and vertical marketing campaigns. The Content Marketing Manager will create new thought leadership and market vertical content to drive engagement and conversion. 

This person will also create content for marketing initiatives across a wide range of marketing and communications activities to develop customers to directly contribute to the growth of vertical markets such as Food and Beverage, Material Handling, Packaging, etc.

This individual needs to be comfortable with leading initiatives and engaging with multiple people externally and internally within the industry. This includes maintaining relationships with industry publications, trade show vendors, and marketing agencies.

Work Environment:  University Park, IL. (Hybrid 1 day in the office, per week)

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working closely with product management, marketing, and sales leadership to develop and execute go-to-market plans and product launches.
  • Assisting in developing customer-focused messaging and creating compelling sales tools that support the selling of product and solution offerings.
  • Lead engagement with teams including Sales, Product to design vertical go-to-market positioning, including sales materials, industry content & POVs, end-to-end campaigns, and events. 
  • Collaborate with Digital team to drive Account Based Marketing (ABM) campaigns by vertical. 
  • Assist with product launches regarding content creation and maintenance.
  • Account focused responsibility to develop and execute all promotional and advertising activities.
  • Manage marketing communication messages across various accounts.
  • Works closely with stakeholders to gather information on milestones, deadlines, and dates to develop project timelines and launch calendar, as well as communicates this information to pertinent stakeholders.
  • Provide support for tactical plans for new product introductions and legacy products which may include website refinement, e-marketing campaigns, tradeshows and events, printed literature, sales tools, press releases, and public relations to meet business objectives, deadlines, and budget. 
  • Work with Product Marketing Managers for product content creation.
  • Create wide variety of content: from long- and short-form content, including but not limited to copywriting, ad copy, emails, eBooks, blogs, infographics, video storyboarding.
  • Managing agency relationships and publication deadlines.
  • Manage facilitation and project management of trade shows.
  • Sales Training and Tool Development: Support content development and deployment of product value proposition and competitive positioning through collateral, nurture email programs, videos, and training communications to sales channel with pertinent information designed to enhance selling capabilities.

 

Critical Competencies for Success:

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, advertising or related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in product marketing within corporate environments. 
  • Email platform experience. Account Engagement (Pardot) preferred.
  • Solid customer relationship skills.
  • Familiar with the Industrial Automation sector.
  • Ability to work within budgets and with strict deadline requirements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Strong analytical and project management skills.
  • Ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment.
  • Knowledge and experience with a broad range of marketing activities, disciplines, and tactics, including field marketing, digital marketing, and events.
  • Highly organized/detail oriented.
  • Experienced in developing and executing marketing programs.
  • Up to 20% travel.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Pay range: $75k-$82k

Within this range, individual pay is determined based on skills, experience, and qualifications relative to the job requirements. Base pay information is aligned with market location and may be subject to prevailing wage laws, if applicable.
