Role Overview
Guarantee the follow-up to the procedures established in the quality system in Norgren Manufacturing de México SA de CV and specific requirements of internal and external customers, for the quality assurance of products and processes in the Industrial Automation vertical, thus ensuring the satisfaction of our internal and external customers, as well as the definition of work strategies that improve the performance of product quality in the processes with a focus on customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
· Develop the purchasing It is responsible for following up on complaints from external clients and/or projects entrusted to it and these are answered in a timely manner to internal and external clients.
· It is responsible for following up on containment, corrective and preventive actions for each complaint from external clients or derived from Projects, the response of the 8Ds must be in accordance with the time and form identified in the 8Ds work instruction and/or the specific requirements of each Client.
· Leads the meetings and/or follow-up to corrective actions for complaints until the closure of the 8Ds., through the use of techniques to identify root cause and solve problems (Design of Experiments, Statistical Process Control, Ishikawa, 5 Because, FTA, RedX etc.,).
· Leads containment actions through the generation and dissemination of the Quality Alert, ensures the control of non-conforming product (in plant, supplier, transit and customer plant), initiates the filling of the 8Ds report and follows up on the external draw of the rejected product if this is required.
· Responsible for the communication of the analysis of the information of Guarantees issued by customers.
· Generates the report on the findings of the analysis carried out to issue credit notes to the customer and/or demarcate the company's liability (whatever the case may be).
· Reports and tracks RMA, warranty, and rework (COQ) costs.
· Propose improvement strategies for the reaction of external PPMs, as well as to improve the rating of different clients through the trend analysis of indicators.
· He is responsible for the execution and monitoring of the quality information necessary for the launch of projects, product improvements and/or current processes.
· He is responsible for ensuring that the documentation of the process guarantees the quality of the product and is in accordance with the guidelines of the Quality System and specific requirements of the customers
· He is responsible for implementing strategies and controls that ensure the quality of the product in the production process according to the characteristics of the product and technical specifications of each product.
· As well as the evaluation of trends with the aim of seeking actions and correcting the problem from the point of origin, as well as proposing improvements based on the analysis of trends carried out.
· It must ensure and monitor that, during the production of the product, the characteristics identified as critical (safety) or significant are understood by the operators, controlled (through Statistical Process Control if required) and immediate reaction is taken when out-of-control limits are identified.
· Leads and executes reviews of the Product Control and Inspection Plan, ensuring that product controls are identified as defined in the process FMEA. (In some cases)
· He is responsible for analysing the return of customer parts (RMA), derived from a complaint, ensuring the response to the customer and disposition of the material within the defined period.
· He is responsible for coordinating and/or issuing the issuance of quality certificates requested by the client in accordance with the Quality Certificates work instruction.
· Coordinates and follows up on the preparation of the PPAP for the approval of new projects and/or engineering changes, ensuring the review of the information in compliance with the specific requirements of the client,
· In the case of engineering changes, it must ensure the re-validation of parts when required by the client or as defined in the internal procedures.
· Likewise, it must ensure that PPAP samples are identified, traceable and preserved for the time defined in the specific requirements of the client.
· Provide follow-up and disposal of non-conforming material, in conjunction with Process Engineering, Production Supervisor, SQA or any support area that is necessary.
· Follow up on the revalidation of the product in accordance with the periodicity identified in the specific requirements of each Client.
· Execute audits audits to process according to the plan.
· Coordinate and follow up on the audits of 1st, 2nd and 3rd part (visits, follow-up, etc.)
Critical Competencies for Success
· Bachelor's degree, Engineering completed.
· From 5 to 7 years of experience in areas of Quality Engineering, Suppliers, Processes or Manufacturing in the automotive, pneumatics and/or metal-mechanical.
· Fluent English, able to establish business communication.
· Project Knowledge of troubleshooting tools (8ds, Ishikawa, 5 why, etc)
· Knowledge in Statistical Analysis and process capacity.
· Use and interpretation of MINITAB. (Desirable)
· Core Tools (APQP 2da. Ed, PPAP 4ta. Ed, SPC 2da. Ed, AMEF 4ta. Ed. o AMEF/VDA 1ra. Ed y MSA 4ta Ed, Control Plan 1ra Ed). (Deseable)
· Internal Auditor of the Quality System in ISO 9001:2015 (Desirable)
