, ,First Shift: 5am to 3pm M-Th with Friday Mandatory OT typically 3 of 4 weeks for 4-10 hours depending on workload. Clean, Safe, Busy work environment assembling machined parts. Air conditioned, well-lit building. Adjustable work bench heights.
Constant standing, walking, reaching, light lifting. Manipulation of components and hardware. Some hand tools, mostly powered.
This is considered an Entry Level Assembler role and the base wage is $18.50 with candidates with direct experience perhaps starting at $19 or $20.

Role Overview
This is an opportunity for an Assembler at IMI. Seeking diversified mechanical or electrical assembly of assemblies and/or sub assemblies that are moderately complex, requiring adjusting, fitting and aligning to ordinary tolerances. Works from drawings and/or specifications; inspects and tests finished units. Assembles parts and devices to support production needs with minimal supervision. Requires ability to interpret and follow written instructions and Blueprints.
Key Responsibilities
- Work from blueprints, specifications and work instructions to assemble parts into higher level assemblies.
- Follows all safety guidelines including utilization of proper PPE.
- Follows proper operating procedures and maintains proper records in accordance with our plant management system.
- Versatile in more than two areas and can train others
- Keeps work area clean and organized to ensure safety and environmental compliance.
- Performs checks using variety of gauges and fixtures to ensure conformance to specifications.
- Demonstrates positive relations and teamwork as established in the IMI Way and Leadership Blueprint within the organization.
- Note any drawing or instruction discrepancies to the Area Lead/Supervisor during assembly.
- Exercise proficient use and safety of basic shop tools (drill press, sandblasting, grinders, saws, deburring and hand tools).
- Able to rotate and efficiently perform work in a variety of cells.
- Perform all operations and instructions related to manufacturing, including Press Operation, Sizing, Notching and Maintaining clean work area.
- Achieve Quality goals and improve Quality standards, including immediately correcting any defective workmanship.
- Able to assemble more complex assemblies and mastered all basic assemblies (part probes, DBA sensors, etc).
- Able to effectively train entry level Assemblers
- Maintain high accuracy during assembly to provide high quality products.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Critical Competencies for Success
- High school Diploma/GED
- 3+ years previous assembly experience in a related manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Related technical training
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Demonstrated ability to use measuring devices, and basic machine tools (e.g., drill press, grinders, sanders, saws, etc.).
