The IT Site Administrator will work as a member of the Americas Client Services team and have responsibility to provide customer service and support of the IMI Americas regional desktop infrastructure with a primary focus toward supporting the local personnel where the position is located as well as supporting other sites as time permits. In addition to desktop support duties this individual may be involved in hardware evaluations and implementing new technologies as well as assisting other team members with the support and first level resolution of issues encountered with the end user operation of software technologies installed on IMI laptop and desktop hardware.
This role also serves as a key member of the Client Services team and will participate in implementing and supporting enterprise-wide Desktop initiatives.
Work Environment: Onsite in Farmington, CT
Key Responsibilities
- This position will be based in Farmington, CT and also support of Distribution Center in Louisville, KY.
- Main contact in IT for Operations.
- Assess both new acquisitions and existing sites from a technology perspective, research possible solutions, recommend optimal changes to the environment, and ensure implementation by leveraging IT department resources
- Collaborate on IT projects to develop and implement solutions at a regional level.
- Create and manage Active Directory accounts and security groups while adhering to security policies
- Guide other business departments with organizing and managing their stored network data
- Manage and track IP address assignments using DHCP
- Manage adds, changes, and moves for desktop phones
- Manage network printer and print servers
- Lifecycle management of PCs, servers, and mobile devices
- Act as a front-line interface to the customer, accepting trouble reports and dispatching them to the appropriate system administrators when escalation is necessary
- Proactively manage and monitor the local desktop environment and initiate required corrective actions when issues are identified
- Troubleshoot hardware and software problems on Windows OS based PCs as well as a variety of mobile devices
- Address customer support issues as quickly as possible; troubleshoot difficult cases, document resolutions and share findings with the rest of the team
- Follow internal procedures for Service Now change, request and incident management, escalation. Close monitoring and action upon new incidents both at the local and other regional locations is expected.
- Ability to compose reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals if required.
- Maintain user accounts, rights, and privileges on desktop and laptops and applications when assigned.
- Infrequent business travel to Louisville, KY (<10%).

Critical Competencies for Success
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from four-year College or University is preferred and 5+ years of job-related experience in Desktop Support is required
- Strong working knowledge with Windows 7, Windows 10, Active Directory and mobile device operating systems
- Strong working knowledge of network configuration on PCs and mobile devices
- Strong working knowledge of desktop applications (MS Office 365)
- Strong working knowledge of company applications and the support thereof
- Experience supporting CAD environment preferred (AutoCad, Solidworks)
- Experience with replacement of desktop/laptop hardware; hard drives, memory, etc.
- Experience with the support of multi-function printer environment; installation of drivers.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team, peers, and management.
- Strong organization, written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Microsoft certification desired.
- ITIL Foundations Certification desired.
Pay range: Minimum $80k - $84k
Within this range, individual pay is determined based on skills, experience, and qualifications relative to the job requirements. Base pay information is aligned with market location and may be subject to prevailing wage laws, if applicable.
